Royal Air Maroc Cargo is undertaking a significant expansion of its temperature-controlled warehouse facilities at Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca. The project, which began in early 2026, aims to modernize and enlarge the existing cold storage infrastructure that has been in continuous operation for 13 years.

The expansion involves reconfiguring the facility to include five separate cold chambers, covering a total area of approximately 590 square meters. This upgrade is designed to enhance the airline's capacity for handling perishable goods, pharmaceuticals, and other temperature-sensitive cargo, supporting Morocco's growing export sector.

According to company statements, the investment is part of a broader strategy to strengthen Royal Air Maroc's cargo division and solidify Casablanca's position as a key logistics hub for Africa. The improved facility is expected to meet stricter international standards and increase processing efficiency for specialized freight.
