RNLI lifeguards have started daily beach patrols on Norfolk beaches as of May 21, 2026, according to the RNLI's official schedule. The patrols cover popular beaches including Hunstanton, Cromer, and Wells-next-the-Sea, operating from 10:00 to 18:00 daily.
The service, which runs until September, aims to ensure safety for beachgoers during the summer season. Lifeguards are equipped with rescue boards, first aid kits, and communication devices to respond to emergencies.
This initiative is part of the RNLI's annual lifeguard program, which has been active in Norfolk for several years. The charity relies on donations to fund these services, which are provided free of charge to the public.
