Moroccan tourism and leisure group Risma has finalized the sale of the Sofitel Casablanca Tour Blanche hotel. The transaction, valued at 450 million Moroccan dirhams (approximately $45 million), was completed with a local private investor.

The sale is part of Risma's ongoing strategic portfolio review and debt reduction plan. The company, a subsidiary of the royal holding company Al Mada, has been actively managing its assets, which include several hotels across Morocco operated under international brands like Sofitel and Pullman.

The Sofitel Casablanca Tour Blanche is a landmark five-star hotel located in the city's central business district. The deal does not affect the management contract with Accor, the French hospitality group that operates the Sofitel brand, which is expected to continue.

Proceeds from the sale will be used to strengthen Risma's financial structure. The transaction reflects ongoing movements in Morocco's high-end real estate and hospitality market as companies optimize their holdings in the post-pandemic recovery period.
