Moroccan hotel group Risma has finalized the sale of the Sofitel Casablanca Tour Blanche hotel to the Egyptian group Pickalbatros for 450 million Moroccan dirhams (approximately $45 million). The transaction was announced in a statement published on the website of the Moroccan Capital Market Authority (AMMC).
The sale is part of Risma's active portfolio management strategy. The company stated the move aligns with its objective to optimize its hotel assets. Risma, a subsidiary of the Moroccan investment fund Al Mada, owns a portfolio of hotels across Morocco under brands like Sofitel, Pullman, and MGallery.
The Sofitel Casablanca Tour Blanche is a landmark five-star hotel located in the city's business district. The buyer, Pickalbatros, is a major Egyptian tourism and hospitality group with a significant presence in the Red Sea region. The deal underscores ongoing investment and consolidation within the North African hospitality sector.
