Renault Group is consolidating its strategic role in Morocco, a key production and export hub for the automaker. The group's Moroccan industrial complex, which includes plants in Casablanca and Tangier, is central to its production strategy for both internal combustion and electric vehicles.

Recent developments include significant investments to increase local integration and prepare for electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing. The Melloussa (Tangier) plant, one of Renault's largest globally, is being adapted for future EV production, supporting the group's electrification roadmap. This aligns with Morocco's own industrial strategy to become a competitive platform for the automotive sector, particularly for the European market.

The expansion strengthens Morocco's position as Renault's second-largest production base worldwide after France. The local ecosystem has grown to include over 250 equipment suppliers, enhancing the country's automotive industry and creating thousands of jobs. This strategic pivot underscores Morocco's role in Renault's global supply chain and its transition towards sustainable mobility.
