The performance marked the first live rendition of 'Goal', which was released as a single earlier in 2026. Rema, 26, has gained international fame with hits like 'Calm Down', while Lisa, 29, is a member of the K-pop group BLACKPINK. Anitta, 33, is a Grammy-nominated Brazilian pop star.
The opening ceremony also featured other artists and a parade of participating nations. The 2026 World Cup is the first to be hosted by three countries: the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
