Recce Pharmaceuticals has signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding (MOU) with an unnamed Middle Eastern pharmaceutical group for a potential exclusive 10-year license to commercialize and distribute its topical antibiotic gel R327 in Morocco.
The MOU outlines terms for the license, but is not legally binding. The deal would cover marketing and distribution rights for R327, a synthetic antibiotic gel designed to treat bacterial infections, including those resistant to conventional antibiotics.
Recce Pharmaceuticals is an Australian biotech company focused on developing new classes of antibiotics. R327 is currently in clinical development and has not yet received regulatory approval in any country.
The announcement was made on May 28, 2026. No financial details were disclosed. The agreement is subject to further negotiation and due diligence.
