Persistent rain caused significant disruption on the final day of the 2024 Miami Open, forcing tournament officials to suspend the men's singles final and move it to a different court. The championship match between Italy's Jannik Sinner and Bulgaria's Grigor Dimitrov was halted with Sinner leading 6-3, 4-4.

After a lengthy delay on Stadium Court, organizers relocated the match to the Grandstand court, which has a retractable roof. The final resumed there approximately two hours after the initial suspension. Weather issues had plagued the tournament earlier, including the washout of an entire day of WTA qualifying.

Jannik Sinner ultimately won the resumed final 6-3, 6-1 to claim his first Miami Open title. The scheduling chaos marked a dramatic conclusion to the two-week ATP Masters 1000 and WTA 1000 event.
