NEW DELHI: BJP MP Raghav Chadha on Thursday broke his silence on the paper leak issue, speaking for the first time from the ruling side in Rajya Sabha. As the BJP pushed the anti-paper leak Bill, Chadha hailed it as 'historic' and said that 'the head of the family, PM Modi, listens'.
The Bill, officially titled the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Bill, 2026, aims to bring transparency and curb malpractices in public examinations. It proposes stringent penalties for those involved in paper leaks and organized cheating.
Chadha, who recently switched from AAP to BJP, emphasized the government's commitment to protecting the interests of students. He noted that the Bill addresses long-standing grievances and ensures a fair examination process.
The Rajya Sabha debate saw significant support for the Bill, with several members from the ruling party speaking in favor. The Bill is expected to be passed in the ongoing monsoon session of Parliament.
