Rabat, the capital of Morocco, has achieved a notable position in a new global cities ranking. The index, developed by the European think tank The European House β Ambrosetti, evaluates cities on factors like economic dynamism, innovation, and sustainability.
According to the 2025 report, Rabat scored 6.20 points, placing it 27th out of the 120 major cities analyzed. This score positioned it ahead of numerous global hubs, including Barcelona, Madrid, Milan, and Dubai. The ranking was topped by Kuala Lumpur with a perfect score of 10 points.
The analysis highlights Rabat's strengths in areas such as human capital and strategic geographic positioning. The city's performance underscores its growing prominence as a competitive urban center on the international stage.
