The 42nd Plenary Meeting of the Middle East and North Africa Financial Action Task Force (MENAFATF) took place in Rabat, Morocco, from May 10 to 12, 2026. The meeting was hosted by the Moroccan Financial Intelligence Authority (ANRF) and brought together delegates from member countries and observer organizations.
Discussions focused on regional efforts to combat money laundering and terrorist financing, including mutual evaluations, typologies, and emerging risks. The plenary also reviewed progress on implementing Financial Action Task Force (FATF) standards across the region.
According to the MENAFATF secretariat, the meeting adopted several reports and recommendations aimed at strengthening the effectiveness of anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing (AML/CFT) frameworks in member jurisdictions. The next plenary is scheduled for later in 2026.
