The advice was delivered during a youth engagement forum in Nairobi on July 23, 2026, where the aides emphasized the role of young citizens in promoting transparency and accountability. They called on the youth to reject bribery and report corrupt practices.
According to the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), Kenya lost an estimated KSh 200 billion to corruption in the 2025/2026 financial year. The commission has urged public participation in fighting the vice.
The presidential aides highlighted that integrity starts with individual choices and encouraged young people to be role models in their communities. They also noted that the government is strengthening legal frameworks to deter corruption.
