Pratt & Whitney, a division of RTX, has officially inaugurated a new aircraft engine manufacturing facility in the Midparc industrial zone near Casablanca, Morocco. The facility represents a strategic investment of $76 million and is situated on a 2.8-hectare site.
The new plant, spanning 12,000 square meters, will focus on the production of engine parts and components. It is expected to create hundreds of skilled jobs and enhance Morocco's aerospace manufacturing capabilities, supporting the country's growing role in the global aerospace supply chain.
Hamid Benbrahim El Andaloussi, President of Midparc, highlighted the project's significance for the region's industrial development during the inauguration ceremony. The facility is part of Pratt & Whitney's broader strategy to expand its global manufacturing footprint and support its GTF engine programs.
The Moroccan government has actively promoted the development of an aerospace hub, attracting major international manufacturers. This new Pratt & Whitney facility is seen as a key milestone in that effort, strengthening the partnership between the company and the Moroccan aerospace industry.
