Porsche has sold its stakes in Bugatti Rimac and the Rimac Group to an international consortium, according to a statement released on April 24, 2026. The transaction involves Porsche's 45% minority stake in Bugatti Rimac, the joint venture established in 2021 to manage the Bugatti brand, as well as its 20.6% stake in the Rimac Group.
The joint venture was originally formed with Rimac Group holding 55% and Porsche 45%. Porsche also held a direct stake in the Rimac Group. The sale marks a significant shift in the ownership structure of both entities, though the consortium's identity has not been fully disclosed.
Financial terms of the deal were not immediately disclosed. The move comes as Porsche continues to adjust its investment portfolio in the automotive sector, focusing on electrification and its core brand strategy.
