Former professional cyclist Pierre Rolland has won the Brazil Ultramarathon, a grueling 500-kilometer foot race. The event, which took place in late March 2026, is a multi-stage ultramarathon challenging competitors over several days.

Rolland, 39, is from Gien, France, near Orléans, and enjoyed a 14-year career in professional road cycling, competing in teams including Bbox Bouygues Telecom, Team Europcar, Cannondale, and B&B Hotels–KTM. He was known as a strong climber, with stage wins in both the Tour de France and the Giro d'Italia.

Since retiring from professional cycling in 2023, Rolland has transitioned to endurance running. His victory in this ultramarathon marks a significant achievement in his post-cycling athletic career, demonstrating his exceptional stamina and adaptability to a new extreme sport.
