Peacock has opted not to renew its 1970s espionage thriller Ponies for a second season, according to a report from Deadline Hollywood on June 24, 2026. The series, starring Emilia Clarke and Haley Lu Richardson, premiered on January 15, 2026.
The decision comes five months after the period comedy-drama debuted. The show followed a Cold War-era story set in the 1970s, focusing on two women involved in espionage. Despite the star power of Clarke, known for Game of Thrones, and Richardson, known for The White Lotus, the series failed to secure a renewal.
Peacock has not publicly commented on the cancellation. The network has been reassessing its original programming slate amid shifting streaming priorities. Ponies joins other recent cancellations as the platform focuses on more cost-effective content.
