ISLAMABAD – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar reaffirmed Pakistan's commitment to dialogue and diplomacy as the preferred path for addressing regional challenges during a telephonic conversation with UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy on May 14, 2026.
According to a statement from the Pakistani Foreign Office, Dar and Lammy discussed regional peace and stability, with a focus on the situation in South Asia. Dar emphasized Pakistan's desire for peaceful coexistence and constructive engagement with all neighbors.
The two leaders also reviewed bilateral relations and agreed to enhance cooperation in trade, investment, and climate change. Lammy appreciated Pakistan's role in promoting regional stability and its efforts in hosting Afghan refugees.
This call follows a series of high-level engagements between Pakistan and the UK, reflecting the importance both countries place on their bilateral ties.
