As of July 21, 2026, the city of Owatonna, Minnesota, is hosting a series of community events this summer. The Owatonna Parks and Recreation Department has scheduled free concerts in Morehouse Park every Thursday evening through August, featuring local bands and food vendors.
Additionally, the Owatonna Farmers Market, located at the Steele County Fairgrounds, has launched a new 'Double Up Food Bucks' program in partnership with the Minnesota Department of Agriculture. This initiative allows SNAP recipients to double their purchasing power for fresh produce, effective from July 1, 2026.
The Owatonna Public Library is also running a summer reading program for children and teens, with weekly storytimes and STEM activities. These events are free and open to the public, with registration available online.
