Durham Regional Police are investigating the death of a 23-year-old man as a homicide following an altercation in Oshawa on Saturday night, May 9, 2026. Officers responded to reports of an armed person near Simcoe Street North and Winchester Road East around 9:30 p.m.
Upon arrival, police found the victim with life-threatening injuries. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The victim's identity has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
