Omanyala's time of 9.94 seconds is the fastest in the world this season, according to World Athletics data. The 30-year-old, who holds the African record of 9.77 seconds, has now won three Diamond League races in 2026.
Leotlela finished second in 10.02 seconds, while American sprinter Cravont Charleston took third in 10.05 seconds. The race was held in warm conditions at the Xiamen Egret Stadium.
Omanyala's victory continues his strong form ahead of the 2026 World Athletics Championships, scheduled for August in Budapest. He is aiming to improve on his fourth-place finish at the 2023 World Championships.
