Nigeria's Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (retd.), on Tuesday vowed to take legal action against those behind reports of his rumoured resignation, saying he was 'shocked' by the reports and had no knowledge of their origin.
'I am not going anywhere,' Musa stated, firmly denying the claims. The minister's office confirmed that he remains fully engaged in his duties and has no intention of stepping down.
The rumours, which circulated on social media and some news platforms, suggested that Musa had resigned due to internal disagreements. However, no official source has corroborated these claims.
Musa's legal team is currently gathering evidence to identify the originators of the false reports. The minister emphasized that such misinformation undermines national security and public trust.
