A new tennis academy, the Elite Tennis Academy, has opened in the south of France with a mission to develop players through a holistic approach. Founded by former professional coach Jean-Luc Dupont, the facility aims to go beyond technical skills.
The academy's program integrates advanced technical coaching with sports psychology, physical conditioning, and nutritional planning. Dupont stated the goal is to "build resilient and intelligent players who understand the game from all angles."
Located near Nice, the center features multiple clay and hard courts, a fitness center, and on-site accommodation. It will host its first intensive training camps for junior and professional players starting in April 2026.
The launch reflects a growing trend in sports training that prioritizes mental fortitude and strategic understanding alongside physical prowess, a method increasingly seen as critical for long-term athlete development.
