Netflix has officially announced the cast and release window for the highly anticipated second season of its acclaimed anthology series 'Beef.' The new installment will star Academy Award nominees Carey Mulligan and Oscar Isaac. The streaming service confirmed the 2026 premiere date in a press release on April 10, 2026.
The first season of 'Beef,' created by Lee Sung Jin, premiered in April 2023. It starred Steven Yeun and Ali Wong in a story about a road rage incident that escalates into a prolonged feud. The series was a critical and awards success, winning eight Primetime Emmy Awards including Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series.
Season two will tell a new, self-contained story. While specific plot details are being kept under wraps, creator and showrunner Lee Sung Jin has described it as exploring a conflict between two couples. The season is currently in production.
Jake Schreier, who directed episodes of the first season, will return to direct all episodes of the new season. The production is a collaboration between A24 and Netflix.
