Nandankanan Zoological Park in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, has unveiled a new glass enclosure for leopards, with two of the big cats now on display and attracting visitors, according to local reports.
The zoo, located about 20 kilometres from Bhubaneswar, is home to a range of species including white tigers, lions, and leopards. The new glass-fronted enclosure is designed to give visitors a clearer view of the animals while maintaining a barrier between the public and the leopards.
Zoo authorities have not released additional details such as the names or ages of the two leopards, or the exact date the enclosure opened. Visitors have reportedly been gathering at the exhibit since it was made accessible.
Nandankanan, which opened in 1960, is one of India's better-known zoological parks and also functions as a botanical garden. It remains a popular destination for families and wildlife enthusiasts in Odisha.
