Namibia and China have signed a grant agreement worth RMB 200 million (approximately N$486 million) to support key national development priorities. The agreement was signed on June 28, 2026, in Windhoek, according to official sources.
The grant will fund projects in areas such as infrastructure, education, and health, as part of ongoing bilateral cooperation between the two countries. The Namibian government emphasized that the funds align with its national development goals.
This agreement follows a history of Chinese investment in Namibia, including previous grants and loans for infrastructure projects. The exact projects to be funded will be determined through further consultations between the two governments.
