Mykhailo Mudryk, the Chelsea winger, is available for immediate return to football after his doping ban was reduced on appeal, according to multiple reports on August 1, 2026. The Ukrainian international had been suspended since December 2024 after testing positive for a banned substance.
The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) reduced the original ban, allowing Mudryk to resume playing immediately. The exact length of the reduced ban has not been officially disclosed, but reports indicate it was shortened from the initial four-year suspension.
Mudryk, who joined Chelsea from Shakhtar Donetsk in January 2023 for a fee reported at €70 million, has not played for the club since the suspension. He has 21 caps for Ukraine, scoring 3 goals.
Chelsea and Mudryk have not yet issued official statements. The club is expected to integrate him back into training ahead of the upcoming Premier League season.
