WENCHI, Bono Region – Alhaji Seidu Haruna, the Member of Parliament for the Wenchi Constituency, has advised Muslim communities to uphold and defend the values of discipline, love, and unity. He gave this advice during an event with the Muslim community in Wenchi, as reported by the Ghana News Agency (GNA) on March 21, 2026.
Haruna, who serves as the Deputy Ranking Member on Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee, emphasized that these core values are essential for national cohesion and development. His call aligns with messages often highlighted during the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, a period dedicated to reflection, community, and spiritual discipline.
The MP's remarks were made in the context of fostering social harmony. He encouraged Muslims to be ambassadors of peace and to contribute positively to the socio-economic progress of the Bono Region and Ghana at large.
