Morocco has officially inaugurated the Tiznit-Dakhla expressway, a major 1,055-kilometer infrastructure project in the country's southern regions. The expressway, which required an investment exceeding 10 billion Moroccan dirhams (approximately $1 billion), is designed to significantly improve road connectivity and safety along the Atlantic coast.

The new route facilitates travel and trade between the regions of Souss-Massa and Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab, reducing travel time and enhancing economic integration. It is a key component of the national road development strategy aimed at linking all of Morocco's economic hubs.

Authorities highlight the project's role in supporting the economic and social development of the southern provinces. The expressway is expected to boost local economies, improve access to services, and strengthen national territorial unity.
