Morocco's southern region recently hosted a promotional event, "La Secret Destination," aimed at showcasing its potential for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) tourism to French industry decision-makers. The event, organized by the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT) in partnership with regional authorities, targeted approximately one hundred French professionals from the tourism and events sectors.
The initiative is part of a broader strategy by the ONMT to diversify Morocco's tourism offerings and attract high-value business tourism. The southern region, including areas like Dakhla and LaΓ’youne-Sakia El Hamra, is being promoted for its unique landscapes and developing infrastructure suitable for corporate events and incentives.
This focus on the MICE segment aligns with Morocco's national tourism roadmap, which aims to increase tourist arrivals and revenue. The country has been investing in infrastructure and promoting stability to position itself as a competitive destination for international business events alongside its established leisure tourism.
