During the 58th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva, Morocco's National Human Rights Council (CNDH) presented the country's migration and asylum policy. The presentation, part of a high-level panel on March 13, 2026, detailed Morocco's national strategy on immigration and asylum, which was launched in 2013.

The CNDH emphasized Morocco's approach, which is based on respect for human rights and focuses on the social and professional integration of migrants. The strategy also involves cooperation with African partner countries on migration issues.

In a separate development, Morocco's ambassador to the African Union, Mohamed Arrouchi, addressed the Peace and Security Council (PSC) on April 1, 2026. He advocated for strengthening the institutional architecture of the African Union, specifically regarding the post-service benefits for elected members of the PSC, to ensure the council's independence and effectiveness.
