Morocco's Government Council Adopts Three Health Sector Decrees

Morocco's government council approved three decrees to regulate medical professions and health services.

On Thursday, March 19, 2026, the Moroccan Government Council, chaired by Head of Government Aziz Akhannouch, adopted three draft decrees related to the health sector. The decrees were presented by the Minister of Health and Social Protection, Khalid Ait Taleb.

The first decree modifies and supplements the decree relating to the exercise of the profession of doctor of dental surgery. The second decree modifies and supplements the decree relating to the exercise of the profession of pharmacist. The third decree modifies and supplements the decree relating to the organization and operation of health services and establishments.

According to the government spokesperson, Mustapha Baitas, these texts aim to strengthen the regulatory framework for health professions and improve the organization of health services. The decrees are part of ongoing efforts to reform the national health system.

The adopted draft decrees will be submitted to the General Secretariat of the Government for final signature and publication in the Official Bulletin, after which they will enter into force.
