Morocco has invested approximately 760 million dirhams in digitalizing public administration, creating 56,000 budget positions and simplifying 350 procedures over four years, according to official reports. The initiative aims to transition the country's public services to a fully digital framework.
As of June 2026, the government has launched several e-government platforms, including a unified portal for administrative documents and a digital identity system. However, challenges remain in terms of digital literacy and infrastructure in rural areas.
The Ministry of Digital Transition reported that over 70% of administrative procedures are now available online, with a target of 100% by 2027. The project is part of Morocco's broader digital strategy to improve efficiency and transparency.
