The General Directorate of Information Systems Security (DGSSI) of Morocco has been prominently featured in the 2025 annual report of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation's Computer Emergency Response Team (OIC-CERT). The 328-page document highlights Morocco's role as a central hub for cybersecurity coordination within the Islamic world.
According to the report, the DGSSI has been instrumental in fostering collaboration among member states, sharing threat intelligence, and organizing joint cybersecurity exercises. The document notes that Morocco's efforts have strengthened the collective cyber resilience of OIC member countries.
The OIC-CERT 2025 report, released earlier this year, underscores the growing importance of cybersecurity cooperation in the region. It details initiatives led by Morocco, including capacity-building workshops and the development of best practices for incident response.
This recognition comes as Morocco continues to invest in its national cybersecurity infrastructure, aligning with global standards to protect critical information systems. The DGSSI's involvement in OIC-CERT activities is part of a broader strategy to enhance digital security across the Islamic world.
