Morocco's Ministry of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform announced on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, the upcoming launch of a national reference framework to measure the digital maturity of public administrations. The initiative was revealed by Minister Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni during a press conference in Rabat.
The framework aims to evaluate the digital performance of government entities, focusing on criteria such as online service availability, data interoperability, and user experience. According to the ministry, the tool will help identify gaps and guide investments in digital infrastructure.
This move aligns with Morocco's broader digital transformation strategy, which includes the 'Digital Morocco 2025' plan and recent efforts to expand e-government services. The ministry plans to pilot the framework with select administrations before a nationwide rollout by early 2027.
