The Moroccan Olympic Committee (CNOM) has announced that a delegation of 120 athletes—72 men and 48 women—will represent Morocco at the 20th Mediterranean Games, scheduled to take place in Taranto, Italy, from August 21 to September 3, 2026.
The athletes will compete in 18 sports disciplines, according to the CNOM's official website. The delegation includes participants in athletics, swimming, boxing, judo, wrestling, and other sports, reflecting Morocco's broad sporting engagement.
The Mediterranean Games, held every four years, bring together athletes from countries bordering the Mediterranean Sea. The 2026 edition marks the first time Taranto hosts the event, which was originally planned for 2021 but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Morocco's participation underscores its commitment to regional sports cooperation and its ambition to achieve strong results on the international stage. The CNOM has emphasized that all selected athletes meet the eligibility criteria set by the International Committee of Mediterranean Games (ICMG).
