Morocco's Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, reiterated on Wednesday in Rabat Morocco's unwavering support for the stability, sovereignty, and national unity of Mali.
Speaking during a press conference, Bourita emphasized Morocco's commitment to Mali's territorial integrity and its rejection of any form of destabilization. He called for dialogue and cooperation to address security challenges in the Sahel region.
The statement comes amid ongoing efforts by the Malian government to restore peace and security following years of conflict with armed groups. Morocco has historically maintained close diplomatic and economic ties with Mali.
Bourita also highlighted the importance of regional cooperation through organizations like the African Union and the United Nations to support Mali's transition and development.
