The Mohammed VI Tower, inaugurated on April 23, 2026, in Salé, Morocco, has become the tallest skyscraper in Africa, standing at 250 meters (820 feet) with 55 floors. The tower, named after King Mohammed VI, was built by the Moroccan construction group TGCC and designed by the architecture firm Foster + Partners.
The tower houses a mix of offices, a hotel, and residential apartments, along with a panoramic restaurant and observation deck offering views of the Bouregreg River and the Atlantic coast. It is part of the larger Bouregreg Marina development, which aims to revitalize the Salé-Rabat area.
Construction began in 2018 and faced delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The tower's completion marks a milestone for Moroccan architecture and engineering, symbolizing the country's economic growth and modernization efforts.
