The Caisse de Dépôt et de Gestion (CDG) and the International University of Rabat (UIR) have officially launched a new national support system for research and innovation. The cornerstone of the initiative is the signing of a framework agreement governing the entire apparatus and establishing the basis for a long-term partnership.
The agreement was signed during a ceremony presided over by key officials, including the Director General of the CDG. The new system aims to structure and finance research and innovation projects, with a focus on developing human capital and supporting the emergence of a knowledge-based economy in Morocco.
As part of the launch, four specific cooperation agreements were also signed simultaneously. These initial agreements involve partnerships with institutions such as Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) and aim to fund concrete research projects in strategic sectors.
The newly established framework is designed to be a dynamic and evolving platform. Its stated mission is to bolster Morocco's national research and innovation ecosystem by providing sustained financial backing and fostering collaboration between academia and economic stakeholders.
