Morocco's General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM) has issued a yellow-level alert for thunderstorms, heavy rainfall, and hail in several provinces, effective from Tuesday, March 24, until Thursday, March 26, 2026. The alert warns of potential local precipitation ranging from 15 to 35 mm.

The affected regions include provinces within the Fez-Meknes, Rabat-SalΓ©-Kenitra, Beni Mellal-Khenifra, and the Oriental administrative regions. The DGM has advised residents in these areas to exercise caution due to risks associated with sudden flooding and reduced visibility.

Authorities are urging the public to stay informed through official weather updates and to avoid travel through valleys and areas prone to flooding during the alert period. The weather system is expected to gradually dissipate starting Thursday evening.
