The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) has announced a partnership with an artificial intelligence company to integrate AI technologies into football operations, marking a significant step for Moroccan football. The agreement, signed on May 12, 2026, aims to leverage AI for player performance analysis, scouting, and tactical insights.
Under the deal, the AI platform will process data from training sessions and matches to provide real-time analytics for coaches and technical staff. This includes tracking player movements, fitness levels, and game patterns to optimize strategies and reduce injury risks.
FRMF officials stated that the initiative aligns with Morocco's broader digital transformation goals and its preparations for future international competitions. The partnership is expected to benefit both the national team and domestic clubs by modernizing training methods.
Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed. The AI company, which specializes in sports technology, has previously worked with other football federations in Europe and Africa.
