Morocco's Ministry of Transport and Logistics announced on Thursday the renewal of exceptional direct support for road transport professionals (passengers and goods) for the period from August 1 to 15, 2026. This is the latest tranche of a government program aimed at mitigating the impact of high fuel prices.
The aid, which was initially introduced in 2022, has been extended multiple times. The ministry did not specify the exact amount per vehicle in this announcement, but previous tranches have provided direct payments to eligible truck and bus operators.
This measure is part of a broader government strategy to support the purchasing power of transport professionals and stabilize supply chains. The ministry's statement, carried by the official news agency MAP, urged beneficiaries to complete their applications through the dedicated digital platform.
The renewal comes amid ongoing global energy price volatility, though Morocco has also been investing in renewable energy and public transport alternatives. The government has allocated significant funds to this support program since its inception.
