The individuals were arrested after clashes erupted in the streets of Casablanca following a match between Wydad Athletic Club and Senegal's AS Douanes in the Basketball Africa League (BAL) on May 24, 2025. The disturbances led to significant property damage and injuries.
The confirmed sentences range from six months to one year in prison. The court also upheld fines and orders for the defendants to pay compensation for the damages caused during the riots.
