Morocco has condemned an armed attack that targeted a reception in Washington, D.C., attended by U.S. President Donald Trump, according to a statement from the Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The attack occurred on April 26, 2026, during a reception at the White House Correspondents' Association dinner. The assailant, identified as a 45-year-old man, was shot and killed by security forces. No injuries were reported among attendees, including President Trump.
In a statement, Morocco expressed solidarity with the United States and reaffirmed its commitment to combating terrorism. The kingdom called for international cooperation to prevent such acts of violence.
