Morocco national team coach Mohamed Ouahbi has stated his intention to win against Haiti in their final group stage match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, aiming to finish at the top of Group B. Speaking ahead of the game, Ouahbi confirmed that his coaching staff is working to field the best possible starting eleven, though no final decision has been made on the lineup.
“We are practically qualified, but we want to win against Haiti to finish first in the group,” Ouahbi said, as reported by Moroccan media. The match is scheduled for June 24, 2026, at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California. Morocco currently leads Group B with 4 points after a draw against Croatia and a win over Canada.
Haiti, making their first World Cup appearance since 1974, has been eliminated after losing both previous matches. Despite the disparity, Ouahbi emphasized respect for the opponent and the importance of maintaining momentum. “We will not underestimate Haiti. Every match is a final,” he added.
