Morocco's National Airports Office (ONDA) has strengthened its support system for pilgrims at airports across the country for the 2026 Hajj season. The outbound phase of Operation Hajj 2026 is underway, with dedicated teams and facilities set up to assist travelers heading to the holy sites in Saudi Arabia.
According to ONDA, the enhanced measures include dedicated check-in counters, special lounges, and multilingual staff to guide pilgrims through customs and boarding procedures. The initiative aims to reduce wait times and ensure a smooth departure experience from major airports such as Casablanca, Marrakech, and Rabat.
This year's operation builds on previous efforts to improve services for Moroccan pilgrims, who number in the tens of thousands annually. ONDA coordinates with the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs and airlines to manage the flow of passengers efficiently.
The return phase of the operation is expected to begin in late June 2026, with similar arrangements in place to welcome pilgrims back. ONDA has urged travelers to arrive at airports at least three hours before departure and to keep travel documents readily accessible.
