In response to heightened regional tensions, the Kingdom of Morocco has activated an exceptional emergency mechanism to facilitate the repatriation of its citizens stranded in several Gulf countries. The operation was launched on the direct instructions of King Mohammed VI.

The Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates is coordinating the effort. Authorities are working to organize special flights and logistical support for affected nationals seeking to return home.

The initiative specifically aims to assist Moroccans facing difficulties in countries like the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia due to the recent escalation of conflicts in the Middle East. The government has set up dedicated crisis units within its embassies and consulates to manage the process.

This repatriation plan underscores Morocco's proactive approach to citizen protection abroad during international crises. Similar measures have been deployed by the kingdom during previous global emergencies, including the COVID-19 pandemic.
