The Morocco Accelerator, a program designed to support high-potential startups, has announced the selection of 19 companies for its second cohort. The initiative is a collaboration between key Moroccan institutions, including the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) and the OCP Group, and aims to foster innovation and entrepreneurship within the country.
The selected startups operate across various sectors, with a notable focus on financial technology (fintech), logistics, and software-as-a-service (SaaS). This second edition follows the inaugural cohort launched in 2024, which supported its first batch of companies through funding, mentorship, and access to networks.
The accelerator program provides participants with seed funding, expert mentorship, and workspace for a period of several months. The goal is to help these early-stage companies refine their business models, develop their products, and prepare for subsequent investment rounds to scale their operations.
By concentrating on scalable ventures, the Morocco Accelerator seeks to contribute to the broader development of the Moroccan and African tech ecosystem. The announcement underscores ongoing efforts to position Morocco as a hub for innovation and technological development on the continent.
