Morocco is significantly accelerating the expansion of its national road network under a strategic development plan. The country aims to add over 1,800 kilometers of new highways, with a focus on improving connections between major cities, industrial zones, and ports to stimulate economic growth.
A key priority is extending the highway network to the southern provinces and enhancing east-west corridors. This infrastructure push is part of a broader national strategy to improve logistics, reduce regional disparities, and support the growing automotive and industrial sectors.
The government, through the National Company for Highways in Morocco (ADM), is overseeing these projects. While the expansion promises improved mobility and trade, it also involves substantial public investment and ongoing management of construction timelines and environmental considerations.
