The National Institute for Agronomic Research (INRA) and the Moroccan Association for Conservation Agriculture (AMAC) have formalized a partnership. The agreement was announced at the 18th International Agriculture Salon in Morocco (SIAM), which opened on April 23, 2026, in Meknes.
The collaboration aims to promote and develop conservation agriculture systems across Morocco. This approach focuses on sustainable farming practices that protect soil health, conserve water, and enhance biodiversity.
The partnership will involve joint research programs, knowledge transfer to farmers, and the development of technical references tailored to different Moroccan regions. The goal is to support the country's agricultural strategy, known as "Generation Green 2020-2030," which prioritizes sustainability and resilience.
SIAM 2026, running until April 28, serves as a key platform for this announcement, bringing together national and international agricultural stakeholders to discuss innovation and food security challenges.
