The Moroccan Lawyers' Club (Club des Avocats du Maroc) issued a statement on Thursday, March 26, 2026, strongly condemning recent public remarks made by the Senegalese Football Federation (FSF). The lawyers' organization stated that a press conference held by the FSF contained statements that directly targeted the Kingdom of Morocco, particularly concerning its hosting of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

In its communiqué, the Club accused the FSF's statements of being marked by a "manifest desire to harm" and of containing "unfounded accusations" against Morocco. The group characterized the federation's press conference as an attempt to undermine the credibility of Morocco's preparations for the continental football tournament.

The Moroccan Lawyers' Club emphasized its full support for Morocco's sovereign institutions and their efforts in organizing AFCON 2025. It called the FSF's actions a violation of the spirit of sportsmanship and African solidarity that should govern football federations.

This development follows a period of diplomatic and sporting tensions. The Confederation of African Football (CAF) awarded the hosting rights for the 2025 AFCON to Morocco in September 2023, after stripping Guinea of the event. The tournament is scheduled to be held in the summer of 2025.
